I can’t wait for my kids to do some Mother’s Day crafting. They are all getting extremely restless, and they are driving me nuts. I want to get them to creatively think while having some fun with art! Here are some Mother’s Day Ideas for the classroom.
First, we will start with some art connected to writing.
This writing and art activity comes with different head toppers to put at the top of the paper. You can either print it on white paper and have them color it, or you can print them on construction paper. There are also different writing pages for students to choose from.

This craft has more reading and comprehending involved. The two crafts could be sent home. The previous one is much easier and quicker to work on, while this one has more activities within it.
Mother’s Day Ideas for the Classroom from Pinterest
I found several awesome ideas on Pinterest. I’m creating a running list of projects that I would love to do next week for Mother’s Day.
The first idea is coupons to send home with the students. This is a FREEBIE from my friend Mel D. at Seusstastic Classroom Inspirations.

Another project that may be more in-depth is this potted flower craft. You can stock up on mini terra cotta pots at Michaels, plus grab some pipe cleaners and tissue paper at the Dollar Tree!

I love the idea of students putting down the clear tape to spell the word Mom, and then painting over it. This would be a fun science tie-in as well.
