I love this monthly blog post that brings you lots of lesson and activities to use in the classroom! Below I have listed February activities for kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and third grade. These activities include reading, writing, math, ELA, and social studies! See if any of them would work in your classroom!
February Activities Focused on ELA
This paired passage product comes with five paired sets, which is ten passages. Each set comes with a nonfiction story and a fiction story, plus questions and comprehension work for both. There are also two sheets that work on comparing the fiction and nonfiction stories. The topics are Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day, George Washington, The Super Bowl, and Dental Health.
In my Valentine’s Day Reading, you will find five Valentine’s Day stories with two comprehension activities for each. One of the comprehension papers deals with answering questions about the text. And, the other paper deals with writing a response based on the passage.
These 25 February writing journal prompts are to be cut and glued to the top of a student’s writing journal.
My February early literacy centers brings you 12 different activities to help struggling students. The 12 intervention activities range from syllables to creating simple sentences. These are aligned with Science of Reading.
Math and ELA Review Skills: February Activities
In my February On-The-Go packet, you’ll find 40 worksheets for quick and easy teaching. These 40 learning sheets revolve around February themes (Groundhog Day and Valentine’s Day).
My Valentines Day coloring sheets help early learners practice their sight word and number recognition. The sheets alternate between sight word coloring and teen number recognition. Each image has a Valentine’s Day theme.
Social Studies Resources for February
This Strong Black Leaders bundle includes six of my biography sets. While it’s important to always be teaching about Black figures, it’s important to highlight them during Black History Month as well. If you own the Biography bundle, they are all included in that bundle and you won’t need this one. This mini bundle includes six famous Black figures.
These biography packs cover important facts about Washington and Abraham Lincoln’s life for students to learn. Within the packs, they will read about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, research them, and write about them.
February Flip Book Fun
