Point of View Books and Veterans Day Lesson Planning

Point of View books

Second grade is the introductory year to point of view. We are not introducing the 1st person and 3rd person yet, but we are introducing to these kids how characters think and feel about what is happening in the story. If you are going to introduce point of view, I HIGHLY recommend using these books! Under each of the pictures are two links- they are both Amazon Affiliate links to both of the books!

Start by reading the traditional folk tale/fairy tale, then read the fractured fairy tale, and your kids will really respond well to it.

We responded in our Reader’s Workbook notebooks about the differences between the two. It’s a fun week of reading lessons! Your kids will love it. And here’s a post on comparing fairy tales and folk tales, too.
