This daily reading and phonics skill review set offers early readers an easy layout and a daily routine to practice some of their ELA skills. The skills that are covered are comprehension, word work & phonics, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and grammar. You get to choose which format you’d like, too! It comes ready-made in interactive notebook form, digital form, or traditional paper form.

**Huge update- This resource used to be an interactive notebook only. I’ve added a traditional print version and a digital version. The digital version comes ready-made in Google Slides.

Each week comes with pages for the left and right sides of their notebooks. It also comes with full page color copy of the story for the teacher to display and read aloud whole group.

This notebook covers 25 basic phonics skills:

short a, short e, short i, short o, short u, long a, long e, long i, long o, long u, s blends, r blends, l blends, ending blends (2), ch words, th words, sh words, digraphs review, oo words, au/aw words, ou/ow words, oi/oy words, ar words, er/ir words, or words

Traditional and Digital Procedures:

• Day 1: Teacher displays teacher copy and reads text aloud. Students work through Monday phonics tasks.
• Day 2: Reread; vocabulary focus
• Day 3: Reread; grammar focus (rewriting incorrect sentences and questions)
• Day 4 and 5: Reread: comprehension focus

Interactive Notebook Procedures:

• Day 1: Cut, glue, and assemble INB (4 easy pieces); teacher displays and reads aloud text; students work through Monday’s phonics tasks.
• Day 2: Reread; vocabulary focus
• Day 3: Reread; grammar focus (rewriting incorrect sentences and questions)
• Day 4 and 5: Reread: comprehension focus
