This RF.1.2.c- Phoneme Isolation in CVC Words activity pack is a Common Core aligned product. It aligns with the RF.1.2.c standard, which expects students to pronounce the initial, medial, and final sounds in CVC words. The second cluster of standards in RF is Phonological Awareness, so for first graders, phonemic isolation falls within that cluster! In this unit, 1st grade students will work pronouncing the initial, medial, and final sounds (beginning, middle, and ending sounds).
