It isn’t always easy to find resources for Common Core math. Some curriculum is CCSS-aligned, but you find that there are many standards that are not covered. That’s why I have made these quick math resources for easy prep that cover each specific standard for first and second grade common core math standards.
So far, I have created printables for every second and first grade standard. I have now started my centers for each standard, too.
Must-have Manipulatives
When teaching primary math, there are many must-have manipulatives.

What I have learned in seven years of teaching is to use black Expo markers on laminating pouches. You’ll scrub for five years if you use the colored markers!!
On to our Quick Math Resources!
I started with second grade since that was the grade level I was most comfortable with. However, once I started working on second grade standards and comparing them to first grade standards, I noticed there were a lot of similarities.
My old school district cut out color ink three years ago. So, if anything was going to be in color for the last few years, it was coming out of my own pocket. I didn’t mind printing in color at all, but for all the standards, I thought black and white ink would be best for teachers on a budget!
2nd Grade O.A. Centers
Currently, the O.A. centers are the only ones I have completed, but on my calendar, I have set them 3-4 weeks apart to get completed. The next set (NBT) is due out on November 15th.

Printables have a great number of options in the classroom. I have never been the type of teacher to hand a student a worksheet and expect that to be a fantastic lesson, but there are great purposes for these resources in the classroom. I used them as homework, morning work, review, assessments, practice, and even used them in centers sometimes.

Moving on to First Grade Quick Math Resources!
First grade standards are very similar to second grade standards! As I was making these, I was thinking about how far first grade has come and how difficult some of the material is. But those first graders can handle it!
