Phonics Interactive Notebook Activities
Cut and Spell It
Students will fold and glue the rectangular flap down the page. Then, they will cut apart letters to spell the words out to the right. Under the flap, they will write the word.
Poem with Activities
For this phonics interactive notebook activity, students will cut apart the story and the flip flaps. Then, they will glue down the rectangle and answer the question using the passage.
Word Families – Trace and Draw
Students will glue down the rectangular flap and snip on the dotted lined. Then, they will trace the words and draw a picture underneath.
Spelling Words
Students will look at a picture, then lift the flap and write the word.
Read It and Draw It
In this phonics interactive notebook activity, students will be asked to read and decorate the CK word, then lift the flap to draw a picture.
Rhyming
This activity asks students to find rhyming words for each CK word that they can read.
Trace It & Write It
The trace and write activity is to practice handwriting and reading skills. After the trace, they must read the word, then write it by themselves under the flaps.
Word Sort
There is also a cut and glue word sort in the activities. This is for students to sort categories and locate their special phonics patterns in a word.
