This RI.1.6 Information from Illustrations and Text unit is packed full of standards-based lesson plans, professionally Lexiled passages, and activities to use while you are teaching the standard RI.1.6. If you are not teaching Common Core, then the pack is still valuable to use when teaching students to use the pictures to find information as well as text.
