This RF.3.4 Fluency unit is a common core aligned product. It aligns to the second set of standards in the Reading: Foundational Skills domain, which includes RF.3.4, RF.3.4.a, RF.3.4.b., and RF.3.4.c. This domain or set of standards covers self-correction, reading words accurately, reading at an appropriate rate, and comprehension.

The thing that makes this fluency pack different from the other Foundational Skills packs for 3rd grade is that is has fluency passages. For third grade, I chose to use Fry’s 4th and 5th 100 sight words and Fry’s 4th and 5th 100 fluency phrases.

**The 2nd grade RF2.4 Fluency version of this product is very similar. The lesson and center activities are the same, but they use different sight words and fluency phrases. The fluency passages are totally different and have different reading levels. The worksheets are the same structure, but use a different set of sight words. There are a few extra Self-Correction activities in the 3rd grade set, too.**
