Thanksgiving Pins and Inspiration

Thanksgiving pins and inspiration for the primary classroom.

I was in the Pinterest mood last week because of how busy I have been. This week though, I reignited my love for Pinterest. This blog post is all about Thanksgiving pins and inspiration board and I can’t handle how much it makes me want to simply celebrate Thanksgiving in the classroom for the next two weeks, but I have common core standards to teach first, haha!

Thanksgiving Pins and Inspiration: Crafts

Students will create an Indian corn craft using paper, string, paint, and the tip of a pencil. First, students will cut out a corn on the cob shape from a piece of paper. Then, students will tap their pencil tip into different colors of paint that might be seen in Indian corn. Finally, students will tie the two pieces of corn together with string that resembles corn husks.

These turkey rockets are such a fun activity for students to tie in crafty activities and science. First, they make a turkey craft. Then, they attach the craft to a balloon on a string and watch it fly!

I’ve never done a photo booth in my classroom, but I think I may try it this year. The kids would absolutely love it and that memory would be amazing for them.
